– Temos o tradicional ramo de espiga que segundo a tradição deve ser colocado por detrás da porta de entrada, e só deve ser substituído por um novo no dia da espiga do ano seguinte.

Crê-se que esta celebração tenha origem nas antigas tradições pagãs.

Espiga – pão;
Malmequer – ouro e prata;
Papoila – amor e vida;
Oliveira – azeite e paz; luz;
Videira – vinho e alegria;
Alecrim – saúde e força.
